Ad hoc integrated sessions
Systemic Diagnostics & Structural Mapping
A focused space for a wider view
When something keeps repeating, despite your best efforts to resolve it, there may be more happening beneath the surface.
Systemic Diagnostics & Structural Mapping sessions offer focused space to explore a specific challenge, decision or recurring pattern through a systemic lens.
Rather than treating the issue in isolation, we look at the wider system around it: relationships, roles, loyalties, expectations, history, boundaries and the dynamics that may be influencing what is happening now.
The aim is to make less visible dynamics clearer, so that new choices can emerge. In a business setting, this can include mapping operational friction, clarifying governance boundaries and aligning leadership teams without personalising the problem.
When sessions can be useful
At Lyra, systemic work sits alongside practical thinking. Some challenges need clearer information or stronger processes; others persist because relationships and human dynamics prevent an existing structure from working.
An ad hoc session may be helpful when you are facing:
- a decision that feels unusually difficult or stuck
- recurring tension with a co-founder, colleague or family member
- patterns of over-responsibility, rescuing or carrying too much
- difficulty stepping into authority or letting go of control
- a business or career transition
- a sense that the rational solution is clear, but something is still preventing movement
- repeated organisational dynamics that conventional problem-solving has not shifted
- questions around belonging, boundaries, roles or responsibility
- a personal pattern that is beginning to affect leadership, work or decision-making
How the session works
We begin with the issue as you experience it today.
Together, we clarify the question and identify the elements of the system that may be relevant. Using systemic mapping principles alongside reflective dialogue, we explore how those elements relate to one another and where imbalance, tension or hidden assumptions may be present.
The work is experiential rather than prescriptive. There is no predetermined answer.
The purpose is to create enough perspective to see the situation differently - and, from that new position, identify what may need to change.
What you may leave with
- greater clarity about what belongs to you and what does not
- a different perspective on a difficult relationship or situation
- clearer boundaries around responsibility and decision-making
- recognition of patterns that have previously remained hidden
- a practical next step grounded in a fuller understanding of the system
Sometimes the shift is immediate. Sometimes the value lies in seeing something that continues to unfold after the session.
A standalone space
These sessions are available ad hoc and do not require an ongoing advisory or mentoring relationship.
You can bring a business, leadership, career or personal question, provided it is something you are genuinely ready to look at from a different perspective.
One issue. One focused space. A wider view of the system.
